We are delighted to announce that we will be teaching
a *new* weekend workshop
FURTHER SEWING SKILLS WITH YOUR MACHINE
in the beautiful Mansion setting of West Dean College,
West Sussex on 3rd - 5th May 2013

'Build on basic sewing skills and learn some additional techniques during this productive and fun weekend. In addition to gaining further confidence using your sewing machine you will have the opportunity to make and attach bias binding, create piping, try your hand at gathering, sewing curved seams and simple appliqué. Put these new skills into practice by making a piped cushion with buttonhole or zip closure and apply bias binding and gathers to create a fabulous frilly pinny or butchers apron. A choice of additional projects will be included covering a variety of these techniques.
This is a next steps course for students who have basic sewing machine skills, can confidently thread their machine and sew straight stitches. It provides the opportunity to gain further experience and try some new techniques.
